According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, North Koreans are fighting together with the Russians in Ukraine. “We see that the alliance between Russia and regimes like North Korea is growing stronger,” Zelensky said in his evening video address on Sunday.
“It is not just about the transfer of weapons, but also about the transfer of people from North Korea to the occupying forces.”
Therefore, defense relations with his country’s partners should change. “The frontline needs more support. We are talking about more long-term capabilities for Ukraine and a more sustainable supply of our armed forces, not just a simple list of military goods.”
Russia rejected claims that North Korea has sent military personnel to support Russia in its fight against Ukraine and may consider a larger deployment.
