Andreas Babler indicated on Monday that he would soon resign from his position as mayor of Traiskirchen. The SPÖ faction leader wants to comment on this “quickly” and will probably fully concentrate on his tasks in the federal government.
Babler should lead the parliamentary club SPÖ in the future, as the party leadership proposed on Monday morning. Operationally he will be supported by previous club chairman Philip Kucher.
Bures was nominated as the third president of the National Council
The club’s general meeting will decide on Wednesday whether Kucher will become general manager or deputy club boss. Doris Bures was nominated for the office of third President of the National Council.
The SPÖ’s internal personnel details will all be formally determined during a club meeting on Wednesday afternoon. Bures must then be confirmed by the National Council plenary during its constituent meeting on Thursday.
