– Transfer of two powers: The Basque government will assume powers in the areas of coastal planning and management and cinematographic and audiovisual activities from today, when the transfer of both matters takes effect at the meeting of the Joint Transfer Commission that will take place in Madrid at 12 noon . Earlier, the Sub-Committee on Coordination and Institutional Promotion will be held at 10.30 am to accelerate the pace of pending transfers.

From Aldama in the Supreme Court: The Supreme Court judge investigating the ‘Koldo case’, Leopoldo Puente, will take a statement from the alleged organizer of the plot, Víctor de Aldama, as investigated. De Aldama’s statement will begin at 10 a.m., in which the magistrate is expected to take the initiative for the interrogation again, as he did last Thursday during the appearance of former minister Ábalos. ‘Pelicot case’: After more than three months of trial in the ‘Pelicot case’, the judges of the Court of Avignon withdraw from today to deliberate on the final decision: the ruling is expected on Thursday, December 19. The prosecutor has demanded between 4 and 20 years in prison for the 51 suspects of raping Gisèle Pelicot, currently 72 years old, for ten years under the influence of sleeping pills administered by her ex-husband. Dominique Pelicot and the other fifty suspects in the rape of Gisèle Pelicot will today get their last chance to testify in court before the final verdict.
