“They were warned, whoever warns is not a traitor,” said Jordi Turull, who emphasized that his party has no “calling to be a pillar” for the PSOE.
JxCat general secretary Jordi Turull has announced that his party will make a presentation a proposal for the revaluation of pensions and support for public transport if the government of Pedro Sánchez does not adopt a new decree “in the coming hours” to promote these measures.
In statements to TV3, Turull justified the Junt’s ‘no’ to the ‘omnibus’ decree, which included the revaluation of pensions and support for public transport, during the plenary session of the Congress of Deputies.
“They were warned, he who warns is not a traitor” said Turull, who emphasized that his party has no “calling to be a pillar of support” for the PSOE.
Turull has the “emotional blackmail“that in his opinion the Socialists were putting pressure on the Junts to get them to vote in favor of this decree, which contained measures – for example on expulsions – that the independentistas disapproved of.
“They have put demagoguery and political attrition first,” protested Turull, who opined that if the Socialists do not approve a new decree it will be “because they don’t feel like it.”
Therefore, he warned: “If in the coming hours” they do not promote a new decree, the Junts will on their own present “the proposal for revaluation of pensions” and aid for public transport: “If the PSOE does not do it, it will will already be done.” we will do it,” he declared.
He has also attacked the PSC and the ERC for not, like the Junts, defending an increase in pensions weighted by the cost of living by area.
