The Basque Parliament passed four laws at the last plenary session of the course before the summer holidays: rural development, protection of pets, requirements to prepare regulatory projects and access to and exercise of physical activity and sports professions.

The text was approved by the plenary of the Autonomous Chamber with the support of the PNV, PSE-EE, EH Bildu and Elkarrekin Podemos-IU — who have 68 of the 75 seats in Parliament — while PP+Cs abstained voted and the Joint Vox Group voted against.

In addition, the Chamber of Vitoria-Gasteiz de Pet Protection Actwhich provides for fines of EUR 100 to EUR 100,000 to penalize abuse and animal welfare behaviour, with the exception of those related to bullfighting, hunting, fishing and the control of urban pests, which are regulated by specific regulations.

The law was approved by the Plenary of the Autonomous Parliament with the support of the PNV, PSE-EE, EH Bildu and PP+Cs, while Elkarrekin Podemos-IU and the sole representative of the Joint Group-Vox abstained. . the mood.

Most of the regulation was approved with the support of all groups in the House — PNV, EH Bildu, PSE, Elkarrekin Podemos-IU, PP+Cs and Vox — and thanked the Minister of Public Administration and Self-Government, Olatz Garamendi. the groups for their attitude in the treatment process.

Finally, the green light has been given for the rule that the Access to and exercise of physical activity and sports professionswhich has received the favorable votes of PNV and PSE-EE, parties that support the Basque government and which introduced the bill, as well as EH Bildu.

Elkarrekin Podemos-IU abstained, Vox voted against the linguistic “obsession” in the text, something the PP+Cs have also censored, although this group voted for most of the views.

However, EH Bildu’s motion was rejected and the approved text is that of the government groups –PNV and PSE– with the abstentions of PP+Cs and Vox, and the negative vote of EH Bildu and Elkarrekin Podemos-IU.
