After the last decoupling of the three Baltic States Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania of the Russian Power Grid, the Ukrainian head of the state of Wolodymyr Senskyj calls the other European countries to even more energy independence of Russia. “This is the way we all have to go in Europe – we all on the continent,” said Senskyj on Sunday in his evening address.
This is especially true for the countries of Central Europe that still have contracts with Russia. “We have to work more with America-Lng Gas, Oil, we have to collaborate more with our partners in the neighboring countries of the European Union, in this region to import the necessary energy.”
As an alternative to Russia as an energy supplier, Senskyj advised the countries in the Caucasus, in the middle -east and North Africa. “The less the Europeans depend on Russia, the sooner we can guarantee reliable safety for everyone in Europe.”
“Increase the pressure on Russian tankers”
Together with the EU, the pressure on Russia’s attempts must also be exerted, tankers and fleet are “against us to use all over Europe”. Ukraine also expanded the sanction pressure to the captains of the ships of the Russian shadow fleet. “This must be supported at European level – the European Union must participate in these sanctions in the energy sector,” Senskyj said.
“End of the Ukraine War 2025 possible”
In the opinion of President Senskyj, the war in Ukraine “under certain conditions” would be an end. This included security guarantees for Ukraine and stronger sanctions against Russia, Senskyj said in an interview from the British broadcaster ITV News, which was spread in the fragments of Ukrainian media.
