The government of Venezuela has thrown away two planes to reduce migrants without papers from the US. How many people these are was initially not given.
The government was informed by the United States that some of the affected were suspected of having criminal groups, said it. US President Donald Trump had previously said that Venezuela had agreed to resume the deported citizens.
In the election campaign, Trump announced the greatest mass portation of migrants without papers in American history. At the end of January he explained that his government was planning to build a camp for a maximum of 30,000 people on the Guantánamo US Marin Base, who had entered the United States illegally and grew there.
Transfer to Guantánamo stopped
On Sunday (local time), however, a federal judge in New Mexico issued an order to prevent the government from transferring three Venezuelan men to a prison camp in Cuba. In a procedure, the Venezuelans had disputed the illegally extensive prison sentence in proceedings.
Guantánamo Bay is best known for a separate prison with high security for foreign terrorist suspects.
