Gerald Fleischmann, former press spokesperson for former Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, presented his new book in a Thalia branch in Vienna-Mariahilf on Monday evening “The codes of the extremists” (Edition A, 27 €). In it he not only gives an insight into his time as a government spokesperson, as in his bestseller “Message control”But also warns of the danger of extremist influencers on social networks. These would specifically radicalize young people, often under the radar of the public.

A frightening example is the 23-year-old murderer of Villach, who came in extremist circles via Tikkok. Fleischmann calls for more information – especially for parents – and warns that apparently “individual” could become an entire army. These actors are often harmless to influence and radicalize young people. Their goal is to create an “army of Unelaches” through targeted propaganda.
Fleischmann wants to help parents
A central problem is the use of codes and symbols that make early detection difficult. Despite this knowledge, it is often not sufficiently cared for. Fleischmann wrote the book to create transparency with the help of these methods.
It is mainly focused on parents and contains a glossary called radical influencers to identify dangerous content in the media consumption of their children.
