It unites the will to the design and the country. This is what Christian Stocker (ÖVP), Andreas Babler (Spö) and Beate Meinl Reisinger (Neos) as the top of the first three coalition in Austria. Central topics of their first joint interview on ORF were the budget, security policy and migration on Monday evening.

While Bablers was familiar with neutrality, Meinl Reisinger made differences in this area. However, the “crystal -clear” coalition is dedicated to Europe. “We can only protect ourselves together.” Stocker Wall, especially with regard to the new situation in the United States, who “may weigh too long”.
All three emphasized that they wanted to conquer the army of the federal army. The defense costs would also be comparable in NATO, nothing will change, says Stocker. Budget as a huge act for the Drieweg government
There are also differences in the budget, but they are committed to the government program. Babler did not accept any doubts about the Red Finance Minister Markus Marterbauer. This is a proven expert: “We have taken responsibility in a difficult situation and need impulses and investments,” and Marterbauer is the right man for that. “It’s a huge act that we do,” said Meinl Reisinger.

Stocker did not accept the criticism of the size of the government – it consists of 21 people. “If you want to renovate the budget with the size of the government, have fun. The length of the government bank is our smallest challenge. The most important question is whether a government works.
Emergency clause in the reunification of the family of “Immediately”
All attempts by journalists to work out differences do not. Even with the migration and the agreed immediate stop of the family reunification, they remained closed. “We don’t want to overload the systems,” said Stocker. The emergency clause is used as soon as the Minister of the Interior makes the corresponding signature. “We have to get through measures,” said Stocker. One can imagine what the intake means for the education system, for example – and not just in Vienna. People have a right that have been taken. Nobody wants to experience a situation like 2015, Meinl Reisinger added. “It would look different with the Spö, but it’s a compromise,” said Babler.
