“Orange” Category – Trump wants to prohibit access to the Russians in the US

Date:

The Trump administration plans to sharpen the access requirements for 43 countries to the United States. This project will probably also touch Russians and Wit -Russia ‘.

As is known, the government of the 78-year-old Republican has initiated a large-scale fight against illegal migration. As leaked now compared to the “New York Times”, the US Department of Foreign Affairs may have created a recommendation in which 43 countries are divided into three categories-one red, orange and yellow.

The Red belong to eleven countries, whose citizens are strictly forbidden to enter the United States. These are Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela and Yemen.

Washington only wants “rich business travelers” from Russia
Ten countries were classified as “Orange”. For them this means that only “rich business travelers” may stay in the United States – but before granting a visa they must undergo a personal conversation. Immigration or tourist visa should no longer exist, it is said. Russia, Wit -Russia, Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, South Sudan and Turkmenistan fall into this group.

There is also a “yellow” list in which 22 countries were included. They were given a 60 -day time window to get rid of those complaints that Washington worried. Otherwise you would be assigned to the red or orange category.

Have valid visas canceled?
According to the “New York Times”, it is unclear whether the limitations also apply to those who already have a valid visa. It is also uncertain whether the new regulations will meet the holders of Greencard, who are already allowed to a legitimate permanent stay in the United States. As the magazine wrote, with reference to the government representative who is not mentioned by name, the list was made by the US Department of Foreign Affairs a few weeks ago. The White House will probably still make changes.

Flat -rate access ban in the first term of Trump
In his first term from 2017 to 2021, Trump imposed an access ban for people from the majority of Muslim countries. The decree that originally met Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Syria was blocked several times by the American court. Iraq and the Sudan were quickly painted off the list. A definitive version, which also contained North Korea and Venezuela, was ultimately approved by the Supreme Court.
