Apparently (!) A cash machine was blown up again. This time in a bank branch on Laxenburger Strasse in Vienna-Liesing.
Shortly before three in the morning, the State Control Center of the Alarm received the District Control Center – only a few minutes later the first stripes were on site. But there was no trace of the perpetrators.
According to the first investigation, the ATM in the foyer of the bank branch was damaged by an explosive in the early morning hours on Monday. It is currently still unclear whether cash was actually recorded. In any case, the perpetrators should have flee quickly. An immediately initiated large search has not been successful so far.
Fahnung so far without success
The Criminal Police Office van Vienna has taken over the investigation. Anyone who has made suspicious observations about Laxenburger Straße or provide other information in the early morning hours is asked to be with every police inspection or directly under the number 01/31310-33800 For reporting – also anonymous on request.
It was only four days ago when there was a similar incident in the federal capital. Almost at the same time, two ATMs were blown up in the city of Danube!
This year there were already more than 20 ATMs in Austria. Since 1 March, the “Soko Atmmat” has had to deal with the Federal Criminal Police Office (BK) in collaboration with the criminal offices.
