Bavaria’s Minister of Health Judith Gerlach (CSU) has asked to prepare medical care for a possible warfare. This also applies to civil protection, which should guarantee the supply of the population, the politician said (see video above).
“Intact healthcare is just as important for the defense of a country as the Bundeswehr.” The task is to offer injured forces and to offer more than 80 million people in Germany medical and nursing.
“We need (…) an extensive” civil surgical plan Germany. The military threat of Europe by Russia and the possible departure of the new US President Trump from the previous safety partner shelf (…) means a massive need for the German health system and the whole civil society, “said Bavaria’s minister of Health Judith Gerlach.
In Bavaria, the government had already asked hospitals to provide information about the status of their alarm and operational planning for an emergency. The aid organizations would train nurses who should support the previous staff in an emergency. “We must not only talk about a possible mandatory service, but also about a service to the community that supports personally tense institutions,” Gerlach concluded.
