France has announced extensive investments in its nuclear troops of almost 1.5 billion euros. With the money, new fighter aircraft must be equipped with the latest nuclear neut technology. According to official information, they must be ready for use from 2035.
In Luxeuil, modern Rafale-S5 hunters must be stationed, which are intended to wear the next generation of the ASN4G Hyperschall marching aircraft. These marching planes can be equipped with atomary bombs, explains President Emmanuel Macron on the Luxeuil Air Force Base on Tuesday. “In the coming weeks I will announce new investments that will go beyond what has been done in the last seven years.”
Luxeuil must be extended to one of the most advanced air force bases as part of the nuclear deterrent program. The French Air Force should receive other Rafale hunter aircraft from Dassault. This must, among other things, replace air coils that France has transferred to Ukraine.
Savings Plan can thwart projects
Government employees in Paris said that Macron’s nearly 1.5 billion euros was part of the already approved multi -year military spending plan. It remained unclear how France wants to finance a huge increase in military expenses while at the same time trying to reduce its budget deficit.
The president had recently explained that France would increase his defense expenditure from currently two percent of gross domestic product to three to 3.5 percent. Given the new course of foreign policy in the United States, Macron had offered European countries to expand the so -driven nuclear protection shield.
