The White House has presented the Ukrainian government a new design for a raw material agreement. This is “completely different” than a former, said the Ukrainian president Wolodyymyr Senskyj on Friday. The United States are interested in rare earths suspected in Ukraine.
It was too early to comment on the new concept, Senskyj said. In any case, his country will not accept an agreement that threatens integration into the European Union. Moreover, previously approved American military aid would not be recognized as a loan that had to be repaid. Ukraine is ready for conversations with every representative from Russia except Kremlin Chief Vladimir Putin.
Ukrainian media already criticized the new concept because it is part of sovereignty and the country has forced to “repay all the American AIDS received”. According to Minister of Finance Scott Bessent, the White House wants to sign the raw material agreement next week.
Completion postponed
A first planned conclusion was broken in February after a scandal in Washington. US President Donald Trump and his Vice -JD Vance had accused Senskyj for constant cameras lack of gratitude for American military aid and lack of respect.
In the past, the Ukrainian friction had criticized that the agreement contains no explicit security guarantees because the US government, for example, rejects sending peacemakes.
In Ukraine there are approximately five percent of the global mineral agents. However, these are often not yet developed and difficult to dismantle. Many events also fall under Russian control in occupied territories.
