After Dodik sanctions: -Ooring Ban for the German EU State Secretary

Date:

The Serbian Sub-public of Bosnia-Herzegovina has declared the German EU state secretary Anna Lührmann as persona non grata. The Republika SRPSKA responded on Friday to sanctions on sanctions established by Germany against his President Milorad Dodik.

Lührmann, Foreign Minister and the Climate in the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is no longer permitted to enter the Serbian part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Germany counts: “Republika SRPSKA is not an independent state”
In the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs it was not about the legal powers to declare someone to declare someone like persona non grata. The Republika SRPSKA is not an independent state.

German EU State Secretary visited Banja Luka
Lührmann, together with Minister of Foreign Affairs Meinl Reisinger (Neos) in Sarajevo, had announced the sanctions against Dodik for constant violations of the constitutional order in the state of Balkan. Dodik and his two closest employees are no longer allowed to enter both countries. You would jeopardize security in the region.

Dodik Angry about Lührmann Visit
Lührmann originally wanted to travel to the capital of Republika Srpska, Banja Luka, to meet opposition figures. However, the meeting was canceled after the regional government declared it as undesirable. “Like any unwanted visitor, the German minister Anna Lührmann cut to Banja Luka to meet her subordinates in the basement,” Dodik wrote to X. “I expect the police to quickly guide her from the Republika Srpska forever.”

“Dodik is becoming more and more isolated”
Lührmann wrote on X that she had visited Banja Luka. “Towards the end of my program in Banja Luka, Dodik demonstrated his destructive attitude again. His representatives threatened me and my delegation with violence. This is a sign of weakness. Dodik is increasingly isolated and no longer enjoys the support of citizens of the Republika Srpska,” says the German EU Secretary.

The origin of the crisis was the condemnation of Dodiks to a one -year prison sentence and a six -year ban on political activities. The reason for the judgment is legitimate laws, according to what judgments of the Constitutional Court in Bosnia-Herzegovina are exposed to Republika SRPSKA and decisions of the UN representative Christian Schmidt are declared invalid. Dodik refused to recognize the judgment. He has long been calling on Republica SRPSKA to unite with the neighboring country of Serbia.
