Nuclear energy wants more than every second citizen in Germany. This goes back to a current representative survey.
Two years ago in mid -April our neighboring country came entirely from the use of nuclear energy. With the Meilerlands Emsland, Isar 2 and Neckarwestheim 2, the last German nuclear plants finally left the network. Before that, the federal government had run these nuclear power plants (nuclear power plants) for a few months longer impressed by the Russian attack on Ukraine and the dreaded energy.
However, this is now being questioned enormously: in a representative study, every second German (55 percent) recently expressed a “nuclear Renaissance”. On the other hand, only 33 percent were right. The likely new Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU) can apparently also be led by this mood. According to the election program, the switching reactors are also released.
Plants for research purposes
Between 1957 and 2004, more than 100 nuclear facilities were put into use in Germany, but some were for research purposes. Christmas reactors in Stuttgart, Mainz, Ulm and Munich are used by this, among other things. For example, they serve for core and material-technical studies and the isotope production for medicine and technology.
