The Podemos program secretary has complained about the manipulation campaign to fabricate false information that would damage the image of Pablo Iglesias and Podemos by PP officials, judges and the media, following the audio published by ‘El País’.

Paul Echeniquesecretary of the Podemos program, has referred in: in jake from ETB2 to the new audio published by The countryin which the commissioner Jose Manuel Villarejo Y Maria Dolores de Cospedalthen General Secretary of the PP and Minister of Defence, speaking about the fabrication of false documents to damage and even insult the image of the purple party paul churches Echenique regretted that, in addition to the PP and some judges, the media also took part in the campaign, and not just the “right-wing media”.
“If an operation is set up to destroy the public reputation of Pablo Iglesias and Podemos, it is clear that it can’t work without the help of the media, and unfortunately at the time it was the majority who spread this false rubbish“says Echenique.
Since Podemos entered the European Parliament, several alleged official documents have leaked to the press in which the left-wing party had ties to the government of Venezuela or to Iranian funding. That false information, which did find resonance in most Spanish media, has not found a legal way.
Echenique has attacked the PP as a criminal organization for participating “in this kind of mafia conspiracy” and is trying to “manipulate” democracy: “They think the institutions are theirs and when you come to power they use them to try destroy political rivals through illegal means, as we have already seen. The deputy calls the current president, Alberto Nunez Feijoo, ostensibly moderate because “he speaks softly and sometimes doesn’t wear a tie,” to distance himself from Cospedal and remove her from the party. “If not, it’s very hard to maintain that the PP is moderate when the previous general secretary called his rivals ‘bastards’,” he said.
With regard to the internal differences between the two political formations of the government of Spain, Echenique has asked to distinguish between the differences that may arise in some current issues and the differences that arise when the PSOE “does not want to comply with what is signed “into the government accord”, such as the progressive tax reform, or approves other policies not in the pact, such as the increase in defense spending, which “we have also learned from the press”.
