A new round of negotiation between the United States and Iran about the Tehran Nuclear Program will start next Saturday in Rome. While US President Donald Trump threatens military success, the Iranian Foreign Minister wants to report to the Kremlin.
The conversations will take place with the Order of Oman, who modernized the first round of negotiations in the weekend, as announced on Monday by government circles in Rome.
Threats of the United States
US President Donald Trump threatened Iran with a military attack as Tehran should not agree to a new agreement to limit his nuclear program.
Trump had said in a letter to the Supreme Guide of Iran, Ali Khamenei, a two -month period of time before negotiations, although it remained unclear whether the deadline had to start on this point or only after the discussions started.
It is not excluded that the American vice president JD Vance, who is expected in the Italian capital on Friday, will also participate in the conversations.
He will have conversations with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. This is close to the American administration. So she will meet Trump in Washington next Thursday (April 17).
After the nuclear conversations with the US, the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi travels to Russia. “Dr. Araqchi will travel to Moscow at the end of the week,” said the spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmaeil Bakaei, on Monday. The journey, which has been planned for some time, is a “chance” to advise the latest developments in the nuclear discussions.
Trump himself has blown up similarities
Western states have been accusing Iran for years to build on nuclear weapons that Tehran denies. In 2015, Iran signed an international agreement that provided for the relaxation of sanctions in exchange for a limitation of the Iranian nuclear program.
During the first presidency of Donald Trump, however, the United States withdrew from the agreement in 2018 and imposed new sanctions against Iran. Then Tehran gradually withdrew from his obligations in the agreement and the enrichment of uranium drove up.
