The most important tender for teachers for the coming school year started on Monday. According to the Ministry of Education, 6100 items are being advertised this time with approximately 89,000 hours, which corresponds to more than 4000 full -time points.
In addition to people with a degree in education studies, Minister of Education Christoph Return (NEOS) also invited career changers for the application. Applications at https://wartung.sbildung.gv.at/ are possible until 9 May.
Vienna is looking for most teacher
By far the most new teaching staff is currently being sought in Vienna (nearly 2000 messages), followed by Lower Austria and Tyrol with around 1000. More than 600 posts are advertised in Upper Austria, more than 400 in Salzburg and in Vorarlberg, and in Cartinthia and the Burgenland around 200.
With 120,000 teachers in around 6,000 schools, the education system is one of the largest employers in the country. In addition to the most important tendering, positions are also advertised under the school year to remain flexible in the case of carenisations, sick leave or transfers.
