Anyone who has taken a closer look at the ranks of the National Council in recent days has missed a prominent sight – FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl was unable to attend the meeting. The reason: health problems. However, as Kickl explained via Facebook, it was “not Corona”.
There is “wild speculation” in the media, the FPÖ boss told fans on Facebook. He therefore immediately wanted to “pull the ground out”, he continued. The past few weeks have been so intense for him that this has also “felt unexpected” in terms of health.
“Do something about it quickly and intensively”
Specifically, he was struck by an “unpleasantly sudden hearing loss problem”: “So it’s important to do something about it quickly and intensively,” emphasizes Kickl. That’s exactly what he did. The matter is now under control and will be resolved soon. He plans to return to the political scene next week.
It was important for him to emphasize that he was not infected with Corona. However, the moment of his return does not necessarily mean less work than last time – the selection of the candidate for the federal presidential election is pending, among other things.
