“Anti-etaistic”-Former Afdbaas Petry wants to start a new party

Date:

The former chairman of the Fauke Petry AfD Petry wants to set up a new party that has to compete in Germany from 2026. The party would be an “anti-betatist offer”, Petry said in an interview.

“On this, fellow campaigners and I founded the” Team Freiheit “team a few months ago,” said the former co-founder of the AfD in the World Interview. She does not want to reveal the name of the party yet, but the content of the content has already been determined, Petry explained to the magazine.

New party must be “positive against”
“The gap in the party system is not stuck between the CDU and AfD, but in the empty space of an anti-etatist, liberal offer,” said the 49-year-old. The program of the new party will “be a renewal of the Cultural Western Association and an anti-working offer as a positive counter-Draft for the previous party landscape”.

The quota of the state – ie the relationship between government spending for gross domestic product – must be reduced from almost 50 to 25 percent within five years, Petry said. There is no party who wanted to force this goal “and freedom of expression”.

Past in Afd and Blauer Party
The chemist once founded the AfD together with Bernd Lucke and other colleagues, but left after the internal party friction shortly after the 2017 Bundestag. At that time she justified her departure with a growing influence around the Thuringian Head of State Björn Höcke.

The German Bundestag then belonged to Petry as a member of the parliamentary with a parliamentary member, where the Blue Party still founded the Blue Party – the resolution that was crashed again in Saxony and Thuringia at the end of 2019.

Wants to tackle a party
Now she hopes for a more successful new start. “We will compete for the state elections next year, first in Baden-Württemberg,” Petry announced. “With the peculiarity that we want to win non-party citizens and entrepreneurs with life and professional experience as candidates. They should not become a member of the party for this.” This would represent 98 percent of citizens who themselves do not belong to a party.
