“Krone” has details – unauthorized begging in Tirol will be more expensive in the future

Date:

Tyrol’s security councilor Astrid Mair (ÖVP) relies on higher fines for violations under the State Police Act. Illegal begging and the wrong guidance of dogs are also affected.

The state of Tyrol is pulling the reins: with the decision of the Tyrolean state government this week, the fines are standardized in the Tyroolean Organ Penalty and anonymous orders for facts according to the State Police Act. Especially in sight: intrusive, aggressive and commercial begging, which has repeatedly caused resentment, especially in Innsbruck in recent years.

“Strengthen public order”
State Councilor Astrid Mair, responsible for safety in Tyrol, emphasizes the need to increase the fines: “We want to demonstrate that violations under the State Police Act are consistently punished and have consequences. The increase in fines must deter and reinforce public order.”

In particular, this means that those who have begged in Tyrol in an unauthorized way in the future must expect a fine of up to 70 euros. The aggressive and organized begging supplications ensures that many shake heads and sometimes uncomfortable. In the sense of good cooperation, the executive must now be better controlled to tackle such beggers or even criminal organizations more consistently. It is not about punishing people in need, but specifically against organized and aggressive beggars.

Further tightening
In addition, the penalties for incorrect excessive excitement due to disturbing noise, the insufficient supervision or the storage of animals, non -painted dogs without a belt or snout and the violation of the public decency are increased. “Our goal is to strengthen the sense of safety of the tyroleans. Because of the recent incidents with dog bites, the adjustment of the penalties for non -fitted dogs without a belt or without snout is also high,” says Mair.

Innsbruck as a focal point
Innsbruck is considered a hotspot for unauthorized begs. Especially in the city center and around shopping centers, citizens continue to complain about intrusive beggars. The city has already tried to prevent this in the past. It is also important for MAIR that the change in the Tyrolean Organ -fine and the anonymous order regulation does not yield any extra costs for the country or the municipalities.

Pleasant for the police officers on the front: the penalties for disturbances of public order and the violations of the decency are also increased.
