No further approach! A few hours after the first direct negotiation round in three years, various citizens were killed in a Russian attack in the Ukrainian border region Sumy. A bus was recorded by a Russian drone.
While the head of the military administration of Sumy, Ihor Tkatschenko, announced on Saturday in the morning, at least nine people died in the “cynical attack”, five others were injured. Doctors and rescue workers were warned.
As the military administration announced, the bus was on its way to the regional capital Sumy when it was shot in the city of Bilopillja. The military administration spread photos of a destroyed small bus on a street in Telegram’s online service. Russia is increasingly attacking the Sumy Border region since the Ukrainian army in March was driven out of the adjacent Russian region of Kursk.

The demands of Moscow “include ultimaten that Ukraine withdraws from its own territory to reach a ceasefire -as well as other unacceptable and non -constructive conditions,” confirmed an insider from the environment of the Ukrainian delegation of the Reuters news agency. “Ukraine is ready for a real cease -the fire and another authentic peace process without conditions.”
The negotiators of both parties had met on Friday in Istanbul for conversations about the end of the war. Because a top meeting because of the refusal of Russian ruler Vladimir Putin was not created, there was no breakthrough – as expected.
