New Advance – Doskozil wants a mandatory social year for everyone

Date:

The Governor of Burgenland, Hans Peter Doskozil, wants to solve the problem of nursing staff for everyone with a social service. He also speaks for the abolition of the Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK) and evaluates the work of the federal government as a “imaginative”.

The implementation of the 71 nursing support points runs in Burgenland. The employment of care providers has already been extensive and two dementia centers in the north and south banking land are planned in the new government program. The black and red-pink federal government, on the other hand, enables private companies to take over the core areas of the state and go to “three, four-class medicine and care”, regrets Governor Hans Peter Doskozil in a current APA interview. The ÖVP testifies to act alone in the interest of the economy. “There will be a bad awakening in health and care,” he is sure.

That is why Doskozil now speaks for the introduction of a mandatory military or social service for young men and women, with the aim of alleviating the shortage of healthcare staff. He wants to expand the six -month presence service to nine months and analogue, introduce social services – for both boys and young women.

Write the Austrian Health Fund
No good hair leaves doskozil behind the Austrian health insurance fund (Ögk), the abolition that he had already demanded in the past: “I don’t know what you need for.” Whether it is a uniform contractual situations for doctors or the different range of services and the entire health control: “I believe that everything the ÖGK should do the federal states itself. The system would work better, but you are not ready for these reform steps.”

Burgenland must also save
Although after 100 days he is extremely satisfied with his collaboration with the greens at state level, the three -way coalition in the federal government is “fantasielos,” Doskozil said. He mainly criticizes the savings plans, which are only “striking heads”.

Savings are also needed in Burgenland. That is why the staff budget was frozen at 250 million euros and there is an admission stop. The whole is merged and the cultural department can be brought together with the cultural companies (KBB). “The time window is a good thing to make the administration even more efficient,” said Doskozil.
