Sayer for the 2nd time – Chancellor “joke”: No apology this time

Date:

Criticism of the Chancellor’s extremely unfortunate statement that only “alcohol or psychotropic drugs” would remain if people continued with the existence-threatening inflation as before did not stop on Sunday either. Karl Nehammer (ÖVP) did not say this for the first time: he made this “joke” at the Lower Austrian party conference in April.

It happened again. Again at a party conference. Chancellor Karl Nehammer made another unfortunate joke after the moody virus-speaker at the federal party conference (he apologised).

At the ÖVP’s Tyrolean state party conference, he said that in the event that inflation was not curbed sufficiently, there would be “two decisions: alcohol or psychotropic drugs”.

Before a party, friends like to be more “moody”
A wave of outrage spread across social media. Nehammer proved to the opposition that he was the wrong choice as chancellor. People close to Nehammer say the chancellor distinguishes between speaking in front of party officials and officially as chancellor.

In front of 1000 civil servants, he likes to formulate things in a more moody way. He said the now-criticized Sager on the podium of the state party conference in Lower Austria in April. At that point there was no excitement. There will be no excuses.
