The German Chancellor Friedrich Merz emphasized the constant military support for Ukraine. “There are no more reach restrictions on weapons that have been delivered to Ukraine, nor by the British, nor by the French, nor by us nor the Americans,” the politician said.
At the start of the war in Ukraine, the West had not delivered a far -reaching weapons to prevent escalation. In the meantime, Great Britain and France have delivered the Ukrainian army of the Storm Shadow/scalp type.
In Germany it is discussed whether Ukraine Taurus should get marching aircraft with a series of 500 kilometers. The Kremlin warned of a delivery of such weapons: this would make Germany a direct party. But Merz did not say whether this weapon type should be delivered exactly.
In November there were first reports, according to which the Ukrainian army of far-reaching Atacms rockets had fired from American production and British Storm Shadow Crops on military goals in Russia. The Russian military ruthless civilian goals and bomby cities, said Merz. The Ukrainian side does not do that and it should stay that way. “But a country that can only oppose an attacker on his own territory does not defend itself enough.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin clearly understands discussions like a weakness, the German Chancellor said. “The accusation of not elaborating all diplomatic means that that is, nobody can make us serious,” he said with a view to the efforts of the past weeks.
