Former FPö boss Heinz-Christian Strache has again had a political mandate since Wednesday. He was praised as a district council during the compiling meeting of the Floridsdorf District Council. According to his own words, the former Vice Chancellor no longer wants to compete.
Strache and his “Team HC Strache” had started in April in the elections of the Local Council and the district representation and should have dealt with enormous losses. He now wears one of the two remaining district council posts itself.
17 district mandates were won in 2020. In the meantime, there are only two, namely in Floridsdorf in the city of Danube. A switch to the city council was clearly missed again. Five years ago they had come more than 3 percent, now it was only 1.1 percent.

On Wednesday, Strache again took over a political mandate in the Floridsdorf Adult Education Center, where the component meeting of the district council took place. He was assigned a place in one of the last rows, right next to the FPöfactie. “It is just like the bad students, the bad district councils are in the back,” he speculated.
He previously confirmed in conversation with the APA that he would no longer compete in one election: “With this result it was the last.” He emphasized that he had become the district council of responsibility and obligation for the home district.
As such, he earns almost 600 euros per month. The reimbursement was also a problem in the official speech. The salary of a district council is not enough to live on it, said the city councilor Jürgen Czernohorszky. That is why all district councilors earn a lot of respect for their efforts, he said.
