The United States now warn their citizens – given the Washington attack on Iranian nuclear facilities – to show greater caution worldwide.
In the corresponding statement of the US Department of Foreign Affairs, the US attacks in Iran were initially not explicitly mentioned. The conflict in the middle, however, can be an increased safety risk for American citizens who travel abroad or live there. The argument between Israel and Iran “led to travel interruptions and temporary airspace closures throughout the middle east”.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises American citizens worldwide,” said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday. In particular there is “the possibility of protests against American citizens and interests abroad”.
Evacuation flights since Saturday
The United States had joined the war between Israel and Iran on the night of Sunday and the three nuclear facilities Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan attacked with B-2 Vechtjets and GBU-57 bombs, which can also destroy underground goals. US President Donald Trump had put an end to days about a military intervention by the United States in the day -long air struggle between Israel and the Islamic Republic. Previously, Trump had repeatedly emphasized – also in the spirit of Israel – that Iran should not reach nuclear weapons. Tehran threatened Washington from his side after the attacks on his nuclear facilities with retribution.
The United States had already started evacuation flights from Israel for his citizens on Saturday, as well as people from Israel and the West Bank with a constant stay in the US. They also instructed the staff of their diplomatic representations in Iraq and Lebanon to leave them.
