Quarantine out – New Corona regulations cause confusion

Date:

With the new Corona regulation, which will apply from 1 August, many new things are involved. Many don’t see through it.

To reassure anyone who still feels overwhelmed by government rules, the health minister himself hasn’t had the full picture yet. In “ZiB 2” he left the presenter and the audience at a loss when it came to the topic of kindergartens. On Wednesday he admitted via Twitter: “My statement that infected children can go to kindergarten with a mouth cap was incorrect. Sorry There is even an entry ban.”

This episode raises concerns that the confusion among the population is unlikely to disappear anytime soon. Apart from the fact that there are quite a few experts who don’t find the end of quarantine particularly useful for infected people – such as biologist and GECKO member Andreas Bergthaler or environmental doctor Hans Peter Hutter. They warn that the infection rates do not allow this.

Special rest of summer
The SPÖ also maintains its harsh criticism of the quarantine – Wednesday by boss Pamela Rendi-Wagner. Before that, Viennese mayor Michael Ludwig and his city councilor Peter Hacker had presented the proposal. There are several quirks in the new regulation. An example is the widely popular tavern. Infected persons are allowed to enter, but are not allowed to take off the mask, ie do not consume anything. In the guest garden, on the other hand, you can also take off your mask if you keep your distance. This will be a special rest of the summer.
