The National Court has summoned the Minister of the Interior to testify as witnesses, Fernando Grande-Marlaskaand the Minister of Defence, Margaret Oaksin the political espionage case Pegasus.
In addition, the investigating judge, José Luis Calama, has made a request to the government of Spain that: declassification of all documents that could be influenced by the testimony of the ministers in the Pegasus case.

Calama began an investigation on April 26, pointing to possible crimes of discovery and disclosure of secrets, following the complaint filed by the prosecutor for the infection of the government president’s cell phones, Pedro Sanchezand the Secretary of Defense, a complaint that was later expanded after the Grande-Marlaska phone break-in was also confirmed.
As explained in the first resolution, after analyzing their mobile phones, “it has become known that they were the subject of several infections by the Pegasus tool, spy software for mobile devices, between the months of May and June 2021”.
The first burglary of Sánchez’s mobile phone coincided with the mass entry of migrants from Spain Morocco by Ceuta, and the second with a statement from Morocco explaining that the diplomatic crisis with Spain was prompted by the Spanish government’s position regarding its former colony in Western Sahara, prior to its change of strategy on the matter.
