Attorney and former Krone columnist Tassilo Wallentin is being supported in his bid to run in federal presidential elections by Magna founder Frank Stronach — “both ideal and material,” as Stronach’s attorney Michael Krüger confirmed.
Wallentin, 48, who had previously been traded as a potential candidate for the FPÖ, made his appointment public last week.
A specific amount of how much Stronach would support Wallentin was not mentioned.
Tassilo Wallentin – like all other candidates – must collect 6,000 statements of support and submit them to the electoral authorities by September 2. His last column in the “Krone bunt” appeared on Sunday. (Editor’s Note: The column went to press before it was announced that the lawyer is running for the federal presidential election.)
