How does Iran react? – Trump to Mullahs: “The next attack will be more violent”

Date:

In a dramatic television speech, US President Donald Trump celebrated the military attack of the United States on Iranian nuclear systems such as a “spectacular success” and at the same time the Iranian regime made clear what consequences of a counter attack.

The targeted bombing of the three most important nuclear locations of Iran – Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan – was fully followed. According to Trump, the Iranian capacities for the enrichment of uranium were “completely destroyed”.

“Every retaliation brings more violence”
“No army in the world could have done that,” Trump continued. “If Iran does not quickly make peace, the following attacks will be even more violent – and they will be performed quickly and precisely.” In another message on his social social platform, Trump warned: “Every retaliation against the US is answered with much greater violence.”

According to the American media, both type B-2 camouflage bombers and dismissed cruise missiles were used in the attack. The main objective, the underground Fordo Facility, was shot with a variety of bunker breaker bombs.

New coordination with Israel – Netanyahu thanks Trump
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the narrow military and political cooperation with the United States. He spoke about a “courageous decision” of Trump, who, according to his statement, had the potential to “change history”. Israel has been attacking Iranian military goals for weeks and sees the Iranian nuclear program as an immediate threat.

According to Netanyahu, the American campaign was coordinated with the Israeli government. Minister of Defense Israel Katz spoke about a “historical step” to prevent Iran ever having nuclear weapons.

Iran announces retribution – UN ALARED
The government in Tehran confirmed the attacks on the nuclear systems. While the state’s broadcast only spoke about local damage, the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that the “shameful events” “would have permanent consequences”. The Iranian revolutionary guard then shot rockets on Israel again. According to reports, at least 16 people were injured.

Iran has applied for an UN Security Council urgency meeting. The IAEA in Vienna said that no radioactivity was found outside the facilities made. However, the IAEA accused the IAEA “indifference or even participation” on the attacks. The nuclear program will be continued despite the “malignant conspiracies”.

Worry about global escalation
UN Secretary -General António Guterres showed “deeply worried” about the escalation and warned of “catastrophic consequences for the world”. Diplomacy is “the only way out,” Gutrees said. The EU Buitenlandse Commissioner Kaja Kallas also called on all parties for de-escalation and returned to the negotiating table.

Hamas and the Houthi militias supported by Iran, condemned the American attack as “aggression” and talked about an interruption of international law. The United States would blindly follow the Israeli agenda, said it in the statements.

Location continued tense
While Trump calls for peace, the region is preparing for further attacks. Israel continues to fly air strikes against Iranian goals, also against shooting facilities and military bases. In his side, Iran has again fired rockets in Israeli territory.

It is currently unclear whether Iran will succeed in responding to the attack -or whether a subsequent escalation level will be threatened. According to the American media, around 40,000 American soldiers are stationed in the region.
