The women’s 4×100 relay consisting of Sonia Molina, Jaël Sakura Bestué, Paula Sevilla and Maribel Pérez reached the final of the European Championships in Munich with second place in his series and a time of 42.95, the best mark by a Spanish quartet in the history of the continental championships and the third best mark ever.

In the men’s category, the Spanish 4x100m team composed of Alberto Calero, Pablo Montalvo, Jesús Gómez and Sergio López finished fifth in his series with 39.14 and, with the tenth fastest time among all participating countries, not in the final. The fastest were the Germans, who set a new national record with 37.97.
