Muguruza’s fall, the only movement in the WTA rankings before the US Open

Serena Williams will play his final US Open starting this Monday, after announcing his withdrawal, and he will from the 605th place in the WTA rankingwhich he ruled for 319 weeks.

Williams, who has won 73 titles during her career, will make her debut against Montenegrin Danka Kovinic, 80 in the world, hoping to prolong as long as possible a participation that is expected to be full of emotional moments.

Polish Iga Swiatek leads the WTA classification with a solid racket and 8,605 pointsin front of the 4,360 chasing her, Estonian Anett Kontaveit.

Maria Sakkari, Paula Badosa and Ons Jabeur complete the top five positions.

Among the top ten, the only variation of the week is the rise from the tenth to the ninth step of Daria Kasatkina, at the expense of Garbiñe Muguruza.

As for the other two Spanish women in the Top 100, Sara Sorribes dropped three positions to 49th while Nuria Párrizas rose from position 64 to 62.
