Italian Pecco Bagnaia won the San Marino Grand Prix with a spectacular finish, holding onto first place by thousandths of a second on his Pisan Enea Bastianini, who took the podium for the fourth time this season. The Turin rider’s triumph came to endorse the great moment he is experiencing, taking his consecutive victory card, becoming the first Ducati rider to do so in the premier class.

A triumph that allows the Ducati rider to keep the battle for the premier class title alive, taking second place in the standings of Aleix Espargaró and 30 points behind Frenchman Fabio Quartararo, championship leader and who finished fifth in Misano.

The podium was completed by Maverick Vinales, who took the podium for the third time this season, in a race in which Aleix Espargaró finished sixth and lost some leeway in the battle for the MotoGP title. Grand Prix, that of San Marino, which marked the farewell to Italian Andrea Dovizioso, who finished twelfth after more than 248 races in the highest category.
