English Oliver Wilson achieved this Sunday, almost eight after the first, his second title on the European golf circuit (DP World Tour)by imposing oneself on Made in Himmer Landargued in Farso (Denmark).
Wilson, 41 years old and world number 748 at the start of the week, won the Farso with a 263 shot total (21 under par) and four rounds of 66, 65, 65 and 67. He edged out Scottish Ewen Ferguson in one and three Norwegian Kristian Krogh Johannessen.
England’s Ross McGowan, who led the tournament for the first three days, also finished in fourth place with four hits tied with his compatriots Matthew Jordan and Matthew Southgate and Italian Francesco Laporta.
Oliver Wilson entered the fourth and final round tied for the lead with McGowan, Southgate and Laporta. His final round of 67 (-4) with four birdies was unblemished to give him the win. The previous three players bowed with 71 (even).
The Mansfield player joined this title with the achievement on October 5, 2014 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
