Sinner did not get the match point in the fourth set and succumbed to Alcaraz, who became the youngest semifinalist of a ‘major’ since his compatriot Rafa Nadal did so at Roland Garros in 2005.
The Italian has confirmed that he will return to compete in the Davis Cup and, previously, he intends to continue training hard so that “maybe next time” he can win these kinds of matches.
