Atlas closed out the first half in the best way with a Furch goal from a pass from José Abella; The Argentine entered the area and led Rojinegros, who were caught in the 49th minute, when Aguirre made an elegant left-footed from a Dieter Villalpando pass.

Pachuca jumped to first place with nine wins, one draw, two losses and 28 points, two more than the Tigres, who fell to second place.
