Simona Halepformer world number 1 and currently in 9th place in the ranking, will have to rest for a few weeks after undergoing a nose operation, as the Romanian tennis player said on his social networks.
Halep has a “chronic” problem with her nose that worsened over the summer and she has trouble breathing, especially at night.
“The only way to fix it was to have surgery,” explained Halep on Instagram. He added that the surgeon took “this opportunity to perform plastic surgery as well.”
“Everything went well. I will need a few weeks of rest before I can resume physical activity,” Halep wanted to cheer herself up, posting a photo smiling from what appeared to be a hospital bed, her nose bandaged. “Let’s meet at the tennis court.”
Winner of Roland Garros in 2018 and Wimbledon in 2019, Halep was eliminated in the first round of the Ukrainian’s last US Open. daria snigur.
