Telefónica and the Rafa Nadal Foundation come together to promote the 1st Rafa Nadal Foundation Awards, with the special participation of UNESCOwith an endowment of 75,000 euros to help promote the initiatives of non-profit entities that contribute to improving the quality of life of various groups in situations of vulnerability.
The commitment of both entities will extend, in principle, to the next three years. The deadline for submitting applications ends on November 4, 2022 and the resolution will be announced on January 31, 2023.
The new awards aim to recognize and highlight the best projects and social initiativeswhich is framed in five different categories: Sport, Education, Health and Well-being, Social Innovation and International Cooperation.
This first call is aimed at non-profit entities that have a registered office in Spain and have been in business for at least five years.
Each winning entity will receive an economic endowment of €15,000 to contribute to the development of the winning project. For the evaluation of the presented candidacies, the support of Fundación Lealtad will be counted. The final decision of the winners will fall to the jury of experts assigned to the proposal by the Rafael Nadal Foundation and UNESCO.
In addition to prizes, At the ceremony, a special Fit for Life Unesco award will be presented to an outstanding personality in the field of sports and social life.. The person will be chosen from a preliminary selection of relevant personalities conducted jointly by the Rafael Nadal Foundation and UNESCO.
