Williams officially announced Nicholas Latifi’s farewell


The movements in the Formula 1 teams for the 2023 season. If this Thursday AlphaTauri announced the renewal of the Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda, now it is the turn of Williams, who confirmed the departure of Nicholas Latifi on Friday.

Williams Racing and Nicholas Latifi will part ways at the end of the 2022 season. We would like to thank Nicky for his commitment and hard work over the past 3 years and we wish him all the best in the next steps of his career,” the team wrote on its twitter account.

In its part, The driver wanted to “take this opportunity to thank everyone at Williams Racing – everyone at the factory and my teammates on the track – for the last three years.. Latifi made his Formula 1 debut with Williams Racing at the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix and, so far, he has contested 55 Grands Prix, scoring 7 points in the championship, including his scoring debut at the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix.

After confirming that Alex Albon will continue for next year and beyond, Williams Racing will announce its full driver line-up for 2023 in the coming weeks.
