CR7, accused of FA misconduct

Date:

The Football Association of England (FA) accused Cristiano Ronaldo of misconduct on Friday for hitting a young fan’s mobile phone and crashing the device to the ground after his team, Manchester United, suffered a 0-1 defeat against Everton at Goodison Park in April.

CR7 apologized through social networks to the follower, 14 years old, after the incident, in which the former Madridista was also investigated by the police. “Cristiano Ronaldo’s behavior after kick-off was inappropriate and/or violent,” the FA said in a statement.

Manchester United, for its part, responded, following a statement released by the FA Cup, making sure that he will support the 37-year-old Portuguese player in this accusation. The young fan turned down an invitation to attend a United game at Old Trafford and meet Cristiano Ronaldo.

});

Cristiano Ronaldo’s action took place after the final whistle of the Premier match between Everton and Manchester United on April 9. CR7 hits the mobile, throwing it to the ground, to the stupor of the boy and everyone, and then headed to the locker room tunnel. Police booked the Portugal captain in August over the matter. The mother of the young follower confirmed that the child’s hand was bruised and the screen of the mobile was broken-
