The opposition politician Avigdor Lieberman accused the VTJ on X not to “think of the local hunters who need more colleague campaigners to share the load with them”.

Military service in Israel is mandatory
In Israel, military service is mandatory for men and women. For decades, an exemption had been made for ultra -orthodox Talmud students. This has been caused for a long time and after more than a year and a half war against the radical Islamic Hamas in the Gaza Strip is always controversial.

In June last year, the Supreme Court eventually ordered Ultra Orthodox. At the beginning of July this year, the Israeli army announced that it would send a total of 54,000 raging orders to Ultra Orthodox in the coming weeks. The 1.3 million Ultra -Orthodox Jews form around 14 percent of the Jewish population of Israel. Among them are 66,000 young men of military age.
