The Japanese Tatsuki Suzuki (Honda) became a prophet in his land by conquering his home first pole of the season and the seventh of his career for the Moto3 Japanese Grand Prix at the Motegi circuit, on just the day of his 25th birthday.
An unusual time saw how the British Scott Ogden (Honda) and Sergio García Dols (GasGas) would join him on the front row, who seemed to melt after the break and return to a front row under wet conditions.
García Dols set a time of 2:12.386 on his third lap, the same time as David Muñoz (KTM) crashed at turn three, and could not get past 16th place.
García Dols topped the table by Tatsuki Suzuki (Honda), who rode more than three tenths below Castellón’s record, 2:12.037, as almost all riders began their final attack on the time table , with a six-minute session ahead.
Sergio García Dols’ response of 2:11.788 was huge, although the Japanese soon responded, with a 2:11.246, half a second faster and forced him to take a risk and not complete his lap when he fell at turn seven .
The leader Izan Guevara tried to improve his best time, but he did not pass the ninth, the traffic on the track was not easy for him, even annoyed by his own teammate.
At the back, Jaume Masiá (KTM), is tenth, with Carlos Tatay (CFMoto, eleventh, Adrián Fernández (KTM), fourteenth, David Muñoz, sixteenth, Iván Ortolá (KTM), twentieth, in in front of Daniel Holgado (KTM), with Xavier Artigas (CFMoto), twenty-third and the girl Ana Carrasco (KTM), thirty.
