The Panama team, led by Spanish-Danish Thomas Christiansen, defeated Bahrain 0-2 in a friendly match on Tuesday thanks to goals from Michael Amir Murillo and Ismael Díaz.
The Panamanian team started with a more vertical game, always looking for the rival goal. But the first risk option went to Bahrain. In the 8th minute, Mohamed Marhoon signed a shot that required Panamanian goalkeeper Orlando Mosquera, who sent the ball into a corner.
A minute later, Marhoon had another chance, but his shot went wide of the Panamanian goal.
After those two bells from the home team, the Central American red took the ball, trying to get there quickly and through the bands.
Murillo opened the scoring
That game paid off. In the 19th minute, José Córdoba’s center brought down Michael Amir Murillo with his chest, past the mark of Sayed Dhiya and his right leg made it 0-1 on the scoreboard.
In goal, Christiansen’s team dedicated themselves to moving the ball, always trying to do damage.
The Panamanians took advantage of the fact that the Bahraini team was suffering in the aerial game to throw crosses into the area and that tactic almost resulted in Mohamed Jaffar’s own goal.
The Panama sentence after the break
The Panamanians took advantage of the second half from the initial whistle as in the 46th minute Michael Amir Murillo crossed for Ismael Díaz, who, with his right foot, scored the second.
After 0-2, the Central Americans retreated and gave the initiative to the home team. However, in the 89th minute they had 0-3 in the last dangerous game of the game, but the striker Eduardo Guerrero, recently entered the field of play, could not be determined in a one-on-one with the local goalkeeper.
