Any reason is a good one to throw a dance. No one will change the DNA of Brazilians, who see life and football as a party. Also the choice. The last game before the World Cup was a toast to happiness. Despite their good intentions, Tunisia were underplayed by an unleashed Brazil, led by Barça player Raphinha, who scored two goals, and the prominence of Neymar, who was just two away from equaling Pelé (5-1).
If Brazil beat Tunisia on the pitch, in the stands the victory was unmistakably Tunisian. Its fans, an important community in France since the 1960s after a long period of colonialism, have accompanied their players with great passion. Brazil played in Comanche territory, whistling as the notes of their song sounded. It’s a shame, though, that Richarlison had a banana thrown at him, a sign that racism still hasn’t been eradicated.
Raphinha invents a flag goal after a sensational pass from Casemiro from 40 metres. Using his head, the Barcelona winger beat the goalkeeper with a beautiful Vaseline. Surprisingly Tunisia answered with another header from Talbi: 1-1. Brazil didn’t even flinch. In the immediate action, a mismatch from the rival defense allowed Richarlison to get a great assist from Raphinha to beat the goalkeeper in the low: 2-1.
Then came Neymar, who scored a penalty after bringing down Marquinhos in the area. In the 10th, an artist with and without the ball, he danced with his teammates. Brazil is in its sauce. With the success of the path came the sentence of Raphinha, very good in Paris. On his left foot he found a shot lodged in the base of the post. 4-1 warmed Tunisia, perhaps changed from the stands. Unable to contain himself, Bronn went all in on Neymar. Punishment, expulsion.
Although friendly, Tite felt as if he was already in Qatar. After the break it was Vinicius. It was also time for a rest for Richarlison, the victim of a racist incident after a banana was thrown at him from the stands in the first half. It’s sad, like the behavior of a poor Tunisian supporter. Raphinha joined him for a while at the bank. The win moves Brazil ahead of Qatar. He taught Tunisia some brainless.
