Deportivo won their first match in the First Federation 3-2 at home, held this Wednesday at Municipal Riazor. After getting the result, the team from Coruña was sixth with three points and the team from Toledo was twentieth and had no points at the end of the match.
The first half of the confrontation started positively for Deportivo, who took advantage of the game to open the scoring with a goal from Villares in the 9th minute. After another game, the local team increased the score thanks to a goal from Lapeña in the 34th minute, making it 2-0. Talavera de la Reina reduced the differences with a goal from Escudero before the final whistle, in minute 40, thus ending the first half with a 2-1 scoreline.
In the second half the eleven from Coruña scored a goal, putting more place in the interval thanks to the success of Álex Bergantiños in front of the goal in the 57th minute. But later, the eleven from Toledo in the 66th minute got close to the scoreboard through Escudero’s double, which ended the rivalry with a final score of 3-2.
During the game, both coaches used up all their changes. Jaime, Max Svensson, Antoñito, Kuki Zalazar and Raúl Carnero came from the bench on behalf of Deportivo, replacing Martínez, Quiles, Trilli, Mario Soriano and Víctor Narro, while the changes made by Talavera were Gayoso, Lolo Garrido, Javi Well, Bertino and Compaore, who came for Miguel Brau, Renan Zanelli, Souleymane, Etxaburu and Sangaré.
The referee showed three yellow cards to Talavera (Sangaré, Lolo Garrido and Dani Ramos), while the local team saw none.
On the second day of the championship, both teams will play at home: Deportivo will face San Fernando and Talavera de la Reina will play their match against Cultural Leonesa.
