the debutante Cyprus, who won bronze in Doha in 2019, went through the final corner alone at Buckingham Palace, almost cruising to victory after a final sprint in which none of the other competitors threatened victory. In the Embankment section, only Gebresilase and Abdi were able to close the distance on the Kenyan.

The London Marathon, one of the six “majors”, celebrated its 42nd edition this year with more than 50,000 runners on the streets of the capital.

In this Sunday’s race, in the men’s category, the British did not participate Mo Farah due to right hip injury.

The London Marathon is one of the ‘six majors’, the six best marathons in the world, along with Boston, Chicago, New York, Tokyo and Berlin.
