Sebastien Haller start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The striker of Borussia Dortmund is recovering from a testicular cancer which has kept him away from the playing fields, but the German club has revealed that everything is on the right track and that his return is closer.
The Franco-Ivorian signed last summer for BVB, however he was unable to make his debut after seeing a testicular tumor, which later turned malignant. Since then, the footballer has been undergoing a chemotherapy treatment which prevents you from playing.
Hans-Joachim Watzkesporting director of Dortmund, atensured that Haller was nearing the end of his treatment, a reason that brings optimism about his state of health. However, he asked for patience when talking about his return.
“Sebastien and I met on Tuesday and he told me that his chemotherapy is almost over. We have high hopes that he will be able to return to play towards the second half of the season. But that’s for him to decide on his own,” Watzke told Sport Bild. “We don’t want to and we shouldn’t put pressure on him. Pain is important. He has all the time in the world.”
