James Anderson, six weeks off from UCAM due to a calf injury

Date:

The American is 33 years old and has ended up in Murcia after spending the past few seasons with the Turkish Anadolu Efes.

UCAM Murcia CB forward James Anderson has been out for about six weeks after confirming Friday’s calf injury sustained in Tuesday’s first day game of the Champions League against Turkey’s Tofas Bursa (75-72 for the Murcians). “James Anderson had to withdraw from last Tuesday’s game injured. Following tests carried out by the club’s medical services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle tear in the external calf of his left leg,” the Murcian club said in a note.

The American, UCAM’s star signing this season, is 33 years old and has arrived in Murcia after spending the past few seasons with Turkey’s Anadolu Efes. This is a serious setback for Sito Alonso’s team, which will host Granada at the Palace tomorrow (12.30pm).
